Antennas and propagation
We are surrounded by wireless devices. Our research focuses on wireless link including antennas to transmit and receive electromagnetic waves and the propagation of these waves in different environments.
There are three main research areas in the field of Antennas and propagation:
- Antennas for mobile communications. The main research subjects are small multi-frequency and multi-element antennas for mobile communications terminals and electrically large antennas for base stations and access points, user interaction for antennas of portable radio devices, and performance analysis of antennas for mobile communications in realistic radio propagation environments.
- Radio wave propagation for mobile communications with main research subjects in multidimensional measurement methods and measurements of mobile radio propagation channels, radio propagation modelling, and physical phenomena for multipath propagation.
- Wireless sensors. The main research subjects are RF-powered wireless sensors that can be used for identification and sensing.
