I address the following question: When we create a system of N electrons on the top of the Fermi sea, which kind of the quantum state we create? Are the states of individual electrons orthogonal to each other or correlated? The answer presumably depends on the method used. I analyze the creation of an N-particle leviton, where the electrons, so to speak, sit on each other. In this case, the multi-particle electron system evolves from a set of mutually orthogonal particles in pure quantum states at zero temperature to an effective multiply-charged particle in mixed quantum state at high temperatures. To show this, I calculate electrical cross-correlation noise and heat cross correlation noise as observables.
