I will first give a short introduction to Weyl semimetal and then focus on the nonlinear optical effects in this system. In particular, I will talk about second-harmonic generation in centrosymmetric Weyl semimetal with broken time reversal symmetry. Calculations of the electric current density at the double frequency of the propagating electromagnetic field in the presence of an applied constant magnetic field using the method of kinetic equation for electron distribution function will be discussed. It will be shown that chiral anomaly contribution to second-harmonic generation in the lowest order is linearly proportional to the applied magnetic field.
